I always start the summer by thinking I have so much time and have all these ideas about what I am going to do and what I am going to get done. Of course, by mid-August the panic begins. Oh my God. I start work in a week and a half! So I plan way too many things in an attempt to cram all my summer plans into a few days. Long story short, Claire and I are headed to meet my brother in a small town to the north of us where we used to vacation as a family. We've planned a picnic lunch by the lake and maybe a swim.
Is it just me or do other people cram lots of activities in at the end of the summer?
Hope everyone enjoys these last few weeks of nice weather!

You're lucky you still have a week and a half left, we sent back last Thursday. I did try to cram some final things in with Grant and for myself though. Summer goes by too quickly!

Loving your mix of prints and colors lately! Great outfit!
ReplyDeleteWe are "cramming" too. I have a list of things I wanted to do with the girls this summer. Trying to get a few more items checked off! I love that pullover sweater from Old Navy, such a fun print. It looks great with colorful shorts.
ReplyDeleteI love the print on that sweater! Good luck fitting as much fun in as you can before you go back. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is nice! I think some weird law in WI requires schools to start after Labor Day. Although it does mean we get out around June 10 in the summer.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I got a few items on sale from Old Navy and I've been trying to wear them before the weather gets too cold!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I thought it would be a nice layering piece and at $8 I couldn't say no!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Going back is always bittersweet. I don't get to spend as much time with Claire, but I do love my job and working with my students.
ReplyDeleteThis print rocks. I really really love it!! Thanks so much for linking up :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really sad about the end of summer (even though I'm not teaching yet and still work all summer!). Love the pink with that black and white print though! So cute.

I don't think I would've thought to dress up that style of shorts the way that you did, and I love the look! Enjoy your last little bit of summer. :)

Thanks! I saw it and thought it would be a fun, versatile piece!
ReplyDeleteThe end of summer always gets me a little sad, too. Especially since this was the first summer in probably 13 years I haven't been working. I loved all the extra time I got to spend with my daughter!
ReplyDeleteThank you, you too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Karla! I love those shoes and need to find a replacement for them I wear them so much!
ReplyDeleteHaha! That's awesome. I love when I have to actually replace a pair of shoes for wearing them so much. :)
