Although I’ve always been interested in style, I typically tended towards neutral colors and was a little scared of trends (it took me a loooong time before I owned a pair of skinny jeans). One of the reasons I started a blog was to help me discover/revamp/document my style. I wanted motivation to try out trends and be a little bolder with colors and patterns. So far my closet goals are:
1. More colored bottoms (skirts, pants, or shorts)
2. Make sure new items are remixable (What can I wear this with? Can I wear it multiple seasons? Can I belt it, tuck it in, tie it, roll the legs up to give it a new look?
3. More florals, patterns, and bold colors
4. Don’t be suckered by a ‘deal.’ Just because it’s $5 doesn’t mean I should get it (or $2, or even $.50).
5. Don’t be scared to spend a lot on something I really like (more than $25 for a shirt is a little hard for me, if I can wear it a lot it’s worth it. Like the shirt I got above. It was $35, but it fit #2, #3, and #5 AND it was Michael Kors)
That’s all for now. What are your closet and fashion goals? Any I forgot?
