My Closet Goals

Shirt- Michael Kors via TJ Maxx
Jeans- Old Navy
Sandals- Old Navy
Earrings- hand me down from Mom
Watch- Michael Kors
White and cluster bracelets- Ebayed
Gold bracelet- gift

Although I've always been interested in style, I typically tended towards neutral colors and was a little scared of trends (it took me a loooong time before I owned a pair of skinny jeans). One of the reasons I started a blog was to help me discover/revamp/document my style. I wanted motivation to try out trends and be a little bolder with colors and patterns. So far my closet goals are:

1. More colored bottoms (skirts, pants, or shorts)
2. Make sure new items are remixable (What can I wear this with? Can I wear it multiple seasons? Can I belt it, tuck it in, tie it, roll the legs up to give it a new look?
3. More florals, patterns, and bold colors
4. Don't be suckered by a 'deal.' Just because it's $5 doesn't mean I should get it (or $2, or even $.50).
5. Don't be scared to spend a lot on something I really like (more than $25 for a shirt is a little hard for me, if I can wear it a lot it's worth it. Like the shirt I got above. It was $35, but it fit #2, #3, and #5 AND it was Michael Kors)

That's all for now. What are your closet and fashion goals? Any I forgot?

  4. I started blogging for similar reasons. :) Great minds think alike. I really love that top...definitely worth the price tag. I have similar 'rules'. My two main rules are 1. don't buy it if you can't think of three other pieces currently in your closet that you can mix and match with and 2. save on trends (Forever 21 is great for bargains), splurge on classics.

  6. Those are great goals! I have gotten suckered in by a good deal so many times... just because it's $5, doesn't mean it's for me. ;) Thanks for linking up for Passion For Fashion! *pinning* :)
