Hurray! Another 7×7 challenge. I really liked the last one and I was excited when I found out through Get Your Pretty On that Ma Nouvelle Mode was hosting another 7×7 challenge (Bonus: THIS time shoes don’t count!). Here are my 7 pieces:
1. Lace dress: Target
2. Mustard cardigan: Target
3. Floral tank: Old Navy
4. Purple button up: Old Navy
5. Blue shorts: Target
6. White jeans: H&M
7. Polka dot skirt: Target
How did I remix them? Well a lot of different ways. I had some fun with accessories and shoes, too (I have a hard time making decisions…).
Outfit 1
For this one I wore the lace dress as a shirt and wore the polka dot skirt over top. I added the mustard cardigan for more color in a pic, too.
Outfit 2
I love this dress and it really needs to get out of the closet more. It’s great because it can be belted, worn with tons of different jewelry or shoes, or can be worn with a cardigan for so many different looks!
Outfit 3
This tank is so great for pattern mixing because of all the colors it has. I love how it looks with the polka dot skirt, something I wouldn’t have thought of before this challenge. The colors of the tank top go well with the mustard cardigan, too (for all those freezing buildings with their AC on high).
Outfit 4
I like this white on white look, but as a mommy I probably wouldn’t wear this much white if I was staying home for the day.
Outfit 5
I just couldn’t decide which necklace to wear. 🙂 I love the color of this shirt, but the bad thing about it is that it gets wrinkly so fast! Even though these shorts don’t have belt loops, I like them with a belt. I feel like it looks more polished and defines my waist more.
Outfit 6
I think I like this more with the cardigan. When I wear shorts, I like to cover up my arms, and when I wear a tank top, I like to cover my legs more. Not that the outfit on the left is revealing or anything, I just get cold pretty easily!
Outfit 7
This might be my favorite outfit. I love the purple and blue together. And I like the coral in the necklace with the purple in the shirt. I added the belt again to define my waist (that belt is a hard worker in my closet).
Well, there you have it! I suppose technically with or without the cardigan could be considered extra outfits, but it worked out to 7 this way and I felt they were better organized. Besides, who wants to scroll down to see all my extra outfits anyway? (Hopefully you do since you are reading this and visiting my blog)
Wait…I forgot one. Sorry!
