Back in college my friend, Matt, and I would all celebrate our mutual birthday together by making a soda cake. You know the kind with just a box of cake mix and can of diet Sprite. It was always a fun tradition for us to make our funfetti cake in the basement kitchen of the dorms. Matt and I still sometimes make that cake on our birthday (or when we are wanting something sweet and don’t want to feel guilty about eating it)! My friend told me about this funfetti dip that reminded her of those days. I found the recipe through pinterest on this site and adapted it slightly. Verdict: Genius! (said with a mouth full of animal crackers and dip.)
1. This is what you need: 3 6oz individual servings of fat free vanilla yogurt (plain works too), 1 box funfetti cake mix, and 1 1/2c. fat free cool whip (we try to keep this as low fat/low cal as possible because we might as well not feel too guilty about eating a lot of it). You can use animal crackers, cookies, graham crackers, fruit, vanilla wafers, or your finger (as long as it’s clean) to dip.
2. This is so easy to make it’s dangerous. Mix the cake mix, yogurt, and cool whip until your dip is smooth.
3. DIP! (And eat, but I think that part is implied.)
Matt, should I put it on a plate and make it look pretty to take a picture? |
